Terms and Conditions for the workshop, parties and courses
All courses must be booked and paid for in full at least 48hrs before the course date. Late bookings can only be taken at the discretion of the tutor. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will not receive any refund unless your space can be filled. Our tutors will have prepared for the number of people who signed up and need to do this in advance.
Minimum number of attendees are required for a workshop to run / be viable to the tutor. We will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible if a workshop needs to be rescheduled due to too low numbers.
Cancellations of between 14 days and 48 hours will receive either a 50% refund or the chance to move to a different session where possible. Cancellations with over 14 days’ notice will receive a 100% refund or the chance to move to a different session where possible.
If you are unable to attend at short notice, please do feel free to have someone come in your place. Just let us know their name and contact details please.
If we have to cancel or change the date of a course, then we will aim to give you as much notice as possible and you will be offered the alternative date or a refund. Sometimes this is outside of our control but we would offer a refund if you are unable to attend the rescheduled day or time. Please note that we are not responsible for any travel or other third party costs incurred.
All parties require a £50 deposit to be paid at the time of booking. We can make a provisional booking but if you have not paid the deposit and someone else wants the slot we will attempt to contact you by phone or email. If you don’t respond within 24 hrs. we reserve the right to give the slot to the other party.
Party deposits are not refundable if you book and then decide to cancel. However, if we are able to move your party to a different date or time slot we will do that for you subject to availability.
As we often have back to back parties booked it is vital that your party starts and ends on time so that we can prepare for the next party. We schedule in 30 minutes between parties to prepare the room. If there is not a party after yours and you feel you need extra time then please ask the member of staff on duty. We may be able to accommodate you. This is charged at £20 for each 30 mins over your scheduled time.
We have limited storage space. If you are bringing your own food, please ensure that your food can be stored on the spare bookshelves in the party room. The tiny kitchen in the shop is for staff use only and is in constant use during shop hours.
If you have booked a dedicated helper please be aware that they are there to ensure the smooth running of your party, give painting advice and to act as an extra pair of hands. They are not there to act as a children’s entertainer or to supervise your guests’ behavior. That is your responsibility.
The price per party guests includes ONE piece of pottery from your chosen party package(s), if you wish your guests to paint any additional pieces these will be charged at the normal shop rate.
It is our policy to charge for breakages. Accidents happen, we accept that, but most breakages are caused by children not being adequately supervised. Unpainted pieces will be charged at 50% of the usual price. Pieces that have been painted will be charged at 100%. Where possible we will attempt to fix your painted broken piece but please note this is not always possible.
